Jeremy Deller's collaborative and socially engaged practice includes his 2004 Turner-Prize-winning event and film 'The Battle of Orgreave', in which he orchestrated a re-enactment of the striking miners' battles with the police from 1984-5 and 'it is what it is', in which he toured the mangled remains of a car blown up in Iraq in 2007 to cities around America. This first major survey of the artist's work includes installations, photographs, videos, posters, banners, performance works and sound pieces.
