Job Description
Requirements of the Role:
The role holder will be required to perform & report on reconciliations, positions inventories & balance sheets throughout the migration phases, i.e. book-on & book-off.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following on behalf of the Finance product migration team:

-Face off to Operations product stream migration teams to ensure Finance & front office receive appropriate levels of assurance throughout the migration,
-Interaction with Treasury Front Office to ensure funding from migration is appropriately represented in the ledger.
-Interaction with Operations controllers to ensure source system bookings appropriately represent net cash settlements from the migration.
-Design & implement controls to ensure the completeness & accuracy of product migration.
-Regular reporting of trade level information to project governance working group
-Liaising with central team to ensure static data is set up effectively
-Identifying & recording migration risks, issues, assumptions & dependencies

Knowledge, Experience, Abilities
Essential:
-Qualified accountant
-Experience in a product control and/ or financial control role.
-Proven track record in building and maintaining strong relationships across large organisations.
-Proven track record in working in delivery focused teams
-Versatility to get involved in detail while also being able to step back and understand the bigger picture.
-Strong communicator at all levels within an organisation.
-Strong academics and problem solving skills.
-Strong control mindset and attention to detail.
-Able to operate on own initiative and identify potential issues with the ability to work to a high standard of accuracy and quality within tight deadlines.
-Ability to work as part of a team, to use time and other resources effectively, and manage changing/conflicting priorities and stay focused on the key outcome of activities.
Preferred
-Successful background in finance change projects in a large, complex bank including trade migrations.
-Knowledge of Treasury products.
-Prior experience within RBS.
