Finance Analyst & Management Accountant

My client and I are looking to recruit a Finance Analyst with a background in management accounts to join their rapidly growing team. The organisation is a world leading global information provider, providing the worlds largest businesses and banks with valuable data within Financial Services, Law, Tax & Accounting, Media and Healthcare and Science.

The aim of the position is to add value by supporting the finance managers in providing with financial information to business. You will be assisting in the financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the business unit.

Day to day duties will included but are not limited to:
- Predominantly management accounts, reporting on key variances to plan & forecast and maintaining stringent internal controls.
- Overall responsibility for the monthly expenses analytics with specific responsibility for analysis and reporting variances on a monthly basis.
- Quarterly calculation of holiday accruals
- Understand all balance sheet reconciliations and impact on results
- Provide support to planners in understanding financial information
- Provide support in the implementation of new systems
- Working with non-finance teams to support and advise on figures, GL , Mark view and cost centres
- Interact with the GAC centres for any unresolved supplier issues
- Headcount reporting and reconciliation with HR and payroll
- Ad hoc financial analysis as required to support the business
- Manage relations with accounting services and work closely with them

Critical Competencies: skills and abilities required for the role
- Part qualified accountant or a degree in Accountancy
- Previous experience in a similar position, including experience of providing financial control across a group of companies.
- Systems experience including SAP, Cognos, BEx, SUN, Vision
