Lifestyle Event
The Chiswick House camellia collection contains rare and historically important examples of these spring-flowering shrubs, including 'Middlemist's Red', thought to be one of only two surviving examples in the world. The collection is housed in the Grade I-listed conservatory, designed by Samuel Ware in 1813, in the grounds. There are camellias for sale and experts on hand to give advice on how to grow them. To complement the festival, the newly-restored Italian Garden has been planted with a display of spring flowers. Chiswick House is open at weekends (10am-4pm) during the festival. |
