2012 Christian Lacroix Men's Fashion Design

Christian Lacroix spring 2012 men’s collection at Paris Fashion Week:   Sacha Walckhoff (the head designer behind this season men’s wear) presented a collection that full heartedly expresses and contemporizes youthfulness in men’s fashion.

A radical change from Lacroix’s formal theatricality and bold designs, this season was met with a playful elegance and a refined boyish charm.

Designer Christian Lacroix for Men’s spring 2012 brings a range of fashion design from suits, sweaters, vests, leather jackets and more. The colours of new season’s design was also varied, ranging from bright colors like yellow, red, white, blue to dark colors like black and gray.

The combination of men’s fashion design from fashion designer Christian Lacroix was also very unique, some suits paired with skinny pants.

When asked if he didn’t feel it was too early for Lacroix to have catwalk show, Walckhoff responded by saying: “It’s crazy I know, but it felt right, especially in this space,” he said. Couture, or even women’s wear, yes, that might have been too early–but menswear didn’t seem to infringe on Christian’s territory. “The past is the past. This is simply a new chapter beginning.”

Was it too earlier? And does starting a new chapter mean forgoing the bold, captivating designs that Lacroix was so renowned for?  Time will tell.
